The Open Arts Studio is designed for children, adults and families to participate in the transformative power of the arts through collaborative creativity for as long as they are able. The Open Arts Studio follows the BuildaBridge classroom model designed to ensure safety, healing, and wholeness for all who participate.
The Mobile Arts Studio provides provides free, easily accessible opportunities of self-expression and narrative storytelling within your own neighborhood. This project offers Arab refugee children a creative, easy to access, and free outlet in their new communities with a goal to turn narratives of displacement and loss into beautiful engaging creations.
In September 2018 , BuildaBridge led a trip to Ellis Island for refugees being served by the Nationalities Service Center and HIAS for an experiential tour led by CharacTours. The trip provided refugees to learn about the United State's immigration history while also discussing and creating art based on their personal experiences as refugees and immigrants.
