We're excited to be introducing Rawan Takriti, a Turkey-based visual artist, actor and community builder. Originally from Syria, Rawan will be joining BuildaBridge for a two-week fellowship from October 16-30.

Last year, Rawan completed a remote fellowship and implemented arts-based programming for displaced Syrians using BuildaBridge's trauma-informed, person-centered & strength-based pedagogy.

Rawan is participating in the IREX Community Solutions Program (CSP). CSP is a professional leadership development program for community leaders worldwide. Funding for CSP comes from the US Department of State.

For this in-person fellowship, Rawan will be deepening her understanding of art-making within BuildaBridge's programming as well as learning about the arts & culture community organizations and teaching artists.

Rawan holds a BA in Fine Arts and will be working towards an MA in Arts, Culture & Media. Her experience ranges from fine arts to film, television and theater productions to arts-based social entrepreneurship.

While Rawan is here, BuildaBridge hopes to:

- Introduce Rawan to the Arabic speaking population, especially the Syrian community

- Provide experiential and interactive workshops on: Syrian Fine Arts & Applied Drawing workshops

- Learn about the depth and breadth of arts and culture community programming in Philadelphia

If you'd like to include Rawan in some of your fall programming or partner with BuildaBridge to help catalyze Rawan's learning and facilitation experience, please be in touch!

It’s inspiring to read about creative spaces coming back to life. The impact this has on the community really comes through in your writing. I saw a comparable arts-focused story on a https://www.doublegpainters.com/ review blog and it reinforced how important these initiatives are.

Such an uplifting post. It’s inspiring to see creativity return and https://qualityfenceandcustomoutdoors.com/ evolve after challenges. The way you described the impact on artists and the community was especially meaningful. I’ve read similar reflections on renewal and rebuilding on a qualityfenceandcustomoutdoors review blog (qualityfenceandcustomoutdoors).

Really https://cabriostructures.com/ enjoyed reading this! The way you explained the process of restarting the music studio was both inspiring and clear. I recently came across a cabriostructures-focused blog that shared similar insights into rebuilding creative spaces, which was very enlightening.
