It is with tremendous sadness that BuildaBridge International's board of directors and staff acknowledge Saturday’s heartbreaking shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA. BuildaBridge stands with and supports people of all faith traditions and backgrounds, particularly in times of hostility and trauma.
BuildaBridge stands in solidarity with the families and loved ones of the victims of Saturday’s shooting and the Squirrel Hill community. Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS) has been a longstanding partner of BuildaBridge and we will continue our steadfast support for refugees and immigrants. Violence will not stop us.
We take this moment to reassert our pledge to do our very best to create environments of peace, conflict resolution, and healing for all people.
