Intermezzo Goodwill Tour Begins with a Hitch

Published in international by J. Nathan Corbitt

It has to happen once in a while. We are in transit at London Heathrow and amidst demonstrations outside over a new expansion that threatens the environment and also complicates the world's busiest airport,

a passport is lost or stolen. So onward with the group, minus two of us who head to the US Embassy in London for a new passport.

With lost luggage that includes some of the group's singing costumes, the exchange and gospel music workshop with the local Choir of St. Magdealena Church near Nurnberg goes on.

African-American gospel music has a strong following in many parts of Europe. These workshops provide authentic instruction and an opportunity to build real bridges of understanding between diverse cultures.
