FRONTPAGE_NO_TRANSLATION_AVAILABLE Charlene Melhorn returns to the east coast after spending the last six years in Los Angeles area, where she received her degree in fine art - sculpture. Originally from Harrisburg, PA area she moved to the west coast to study art but quickly found her continued interest in community arts peaked by opportunities in the LA area. She worked on mural projects, taught art workshops, and interned at a gallery/community center.
Post-graduation she lived at Art Haus an artist residency for emerging female artists and while there she created and exhibited her own artwork. She also co-lead an arts catalyst group at New Heart Community Church and worked for the YMCA (beginning as an after school tutor and finishing as their membership services coordinator). This new opportunity with BuildaBridge was perfectly timed and she is eager to utilize her passion for the arts and for service.

Jason Nicholas is the European Communications Coordinator for BuildaBridge International. He is also a storyteller speaking through still photography and video (though his university degree is cinema production so he welcomes any opportunity to haul out the big stuff). He has international cross-cultural experience (no embarrassing client relations in Asia; a proven record of avoiding international incidents).
He has photographed everywhere from the interior of airplane hangers to live orchestral performances to freezing exposed mountain passes to surgical suites to the hyperghetto (not all in the same day). He's rather quiet and has not once shouted at an art director (neither do art directors usually shout at him). His favorite poet is (the rather obscure) Edwin Arlington Robinson; his favorite author is debatable. He's not excited by trendy techniques but by simple tools used well (he favors "old style" mechanical film cameras, though he's used everything from "top of the food chain" digital to pocket point and shoot). His first word as a child was, "light" (really).
