New Philadelphia Poets to Hold Benefit Reading for BuildaBridge
On Friday, December 12th from 7:00-9:00 pm, the New Philadelphia Poets will hold a reading to benefit BuildaBridge at Wooden Shoe Books (508 S. 5th St. Philadelphia, PA 19147). The reading will be followed by an open mic, so please come prepared to share your own poetry, music, storytelling, etc!  There will be a $5 suggested donation at the door, as well as wine and appetizers for a small price.  All proceeds will go directly to BuildaBridge's "Painting a Brighter Future" campaign.

Formed in 2007, the New Philadelphia Poets are dedicated to supporting and promoting the growing poetry community in Philadelphia via new venues, media, and audiences.  BuildaBridge's own volunteer coordinator, Sarah Heady, is an active a member.
