Diaspora of Hope Trip to Congo
Bukavu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. November 16-24 (estimated time frame with dates shorter depending on air travel schedule). A therapeutic arts team (especially movement and visual arts) would provide group therapeutic art sessions for women who have experienced sexual violence and training for local social workers. Currently 150 women are in a program at Panzi Hospital (see below) sponsored by Women in War Zones. four times a week - for two hours each time. Ages range for 15-80.
