Amy Scheer, a
native of western Pennsylvania, has taught
drama to young people from Pittsburgh to Tallahassee to Orange
City, Iowa. Scheer
stage-managed professionally for many years, including for Pittsburgh’s City Theatre Outreach program,
which presented the stories of welfare recipients, AIDS patients, and
ex-offenders. A former writer for christianity & theatre, Scheer
looks forward to working with prisoners later this year, guiding them as they
write their life stories and take them to the stage. Scheer has a B.A. in
Theatre from the University of Pittsburgh and has studied at the Riding Lights
Theatre School in York, England
