Module Two: Social Skills
As a critically important unit in the development of life skills, the unit on social skills will continue to be addressed through the other units in various applications and discussions. Here, we seek to spark an awareness of one's own cultural identity and how that identity influences customs and values. With this awareness of a self-identity, we will then broaden the horizons to explore other customs and values that are influenced by other cultural backgrounds.

Once an internal and external exploration of identity has been set in motion, we will then look at different forms of communication and how to utilize this new cultural awareness to improve and strengthen communicative interactions.

Various communication skills will be addressed, such as listening versus asserting one's own ideas. The unit will end with sessions exploring relationships and what is involved in the managing and maintenance (strengthening) of those relationships.
